How to check a Curacao casino licence

The short version

The operator is read from the casino's own pages, the licence from its terms, and the markets it serves from the same terms. The licence holder is then matched to the Curacao Gaming Authority register, and the outcome is reported as a register status, never as a promise of safety.

Our team tests the casinos it covers and checks every fact against the casino's pages and the register before a page is published. The registers read are the Curacao Gaming Authority register and the licence certificates linked from each casino, and the Gambling Commission public register for any UK licence.

Who runs each casino

The operator is the company that the terms name as running the site. That line is copied word for word, with its legal form, and compared with the licence holder on the register. A brand name is not an operator, so the company line is what gets matched.

Where the terms name no company, or the register has no line for the company named, the review says so plainly. Each result sits on that casino's review, reached from the list of all casinos we review.

Checking the licence on the CGA register

Where a casino prints a licence number and holder, both are copied from the page that prints them and looked up on the register. Where it links a certificate instead, the certificate is read and its holder and number are compared with the register line and with the company named in the terms.

Of the six casinos covered, four matched a register line and two had none to match, in the register edition of 9 October 2026. Of the four, three carry the status Assessment in progress and one is listed by number and holder.

A register line shows that the authority lists a holder, a number and a status. It does not show that the casino pays withdrawals, that its bonus terms are fair or that it accepts players from the UK. A status of assessment in progress is reported as that status and nothing more, and the other points are read separately from the casino's terms.

Line-by-line reading of the register is set out in the CGA register explained, and the licence itself in Curacao gambling licence explained.

Is a casino open to UK players?

A Curacao licence does not settle this. The terms of each casino carry a list of restricted countries, and the check is whether the United Kingdom, or a wording such as Great Britain, appears on that list. Four such lists are quoted exactly on the restricted countries page, against the licence list edition updated on 9 October 2026.

Being absent from a restricted list does not make a casino licensed in Great Britain. The Gambling Commission licenses and regulates the businesses that provide gambling in Great Britain, and the Gambling Act 2005 makes it an offence to provide facilities for gambling without an operating licence. The detail is set out in Curacao licence and UK law.

Anyone who has self-excluded, or is thinking about it, should read the responsible gambling page first: a Curacao casino is never a way around a self-exclusion, and nothing on this site presents one as such.

If you think we are wrong

If a casino's page and ours differ, the casino's page is read again and our page is corrected to match what it says.
